A visit to Roztocze provides a good opportunity for informal recreation (picnicking, relaxing) near to water features. On the Ukrainian side, Janów Pond, near Ivano-Frankowe, is the place most suited to lovers of water. The water reservoir in Bryukhovych, just outside Lvov, is a popular place for relaxation for the residents of that city. The artificial lakes in Krasnobród, Majdan Nepryski, Zwierzyniec, Józefów, Zamość and Janów Lubelski provide suitable watering places on the Polish side of Roztocze.
Furthermore it is possible to participate in a canoeing trip down the Wieprz river from an area on the edge of Zwierzyniec.(organizer tel.+48 691776507). There are also some canoe trips organized down stretches of the Tanew river.
